Het Mobile World Congress neemt Barcelona over. Meer dan 65.000 bezoekers, standhouders en andere mensen die gerelateerd zijn aan de mobiele telefoon industrie, nemen deel aan het congres, dat voor de 5e keer gehouden wordt. Dit heeft ervoor gezorgd dat er bijna geen enkele hotelkamer meer te krijgen is in de stad.

Niet alleen de hotels hebben profijt van de bezoekers van dit grote congres, ook de restaurants, het openbaar vervoer, de winkels en zeker de toeristische trekpleisters zoals de Sagrada Familie zullen meer publiek ontvangen dan normaal.

Er is een nieuw contract getekend tussen de organisatie van het congres en de stad Barcelona, om de komende vijf jaar het Mobile World Congress hier plaats te laten vinden. Wederom laat Barcelona de rest van de wereld zijn hoge niveau van gastvrijheid zien.

Iedereen kent dé wedstrijd van het seizoen, El Clasico, oftewel de match tussen FC Barcelona en Real Madrid. Deze twee topclubs staan niet alleen in de normale Spaanse Liga tegenover elkaar, maar ook bijvoorbeeld in de strijd om de Copa del Rey. Afgelopen woensdag werd deze spannende wedstrijd wederom gespeeld, in het stadion Camp Nou te Barcelona. Voor de culés was het één groot feest toen hun club FC Barcelona de overwinning binnensleepte, met een 2-2 gelijkspel. Hiermee werd de tegenstander Real Madrid uitgeschakeld voor doorgang naar de halve finales. De halve finale zal gaan tussen drie eredivisie clubs en CD Mirandes, die als Eerste Divisie club, zich kranig staande heeft weten te houden in de strijd om de Copa del Rey.

Madrid was the place to be on the 7th of November 2010 and M&D Events and Incentives was there! Not just to enjoy the city and feeling the buzz of the 2010 MTV European Music Awards, but actually being part of it.
M&D organized for MTV the official afterparty in Madrid´s famous Club Kudeta. Not only took M&D care of accommodation, transfers and flights of famous Dutch dj´s, we also made sure that Club Kudeta was completely styled in MTV´s official branding.
Coming out of the Caja Mágica where the MTV awards were given to the greatest artists of 2010 we headed to the Club Kudeta. The private transfer took the guests to Club Kudéta where we were all eager to continue the party.
